Dear Parent:
Welcome to Lake Geneva Middle School (LGMS)! We are busy preparing for the 2024-2025 school year and wanted to be sure you were up to date on activities taking place over the summer that will help your student have a positive transition to the middle school.
As we are preparing for the 2024-2025 school year, please note that Lake Geneva Schools will continue with online registration. E-Registration will be online beginning August 1st. Please use the enclosed guidelines for Creating a PowerSchool Parent Account or Updating Information in PowerSchool. Please complete before you attend In-Person Registration.
LGMS will host one registration day on Wednesday, August 8, 2024, from 10:00am to 6:00pm. On that day, parents and students may stop in the LGMS cafeteria to pick up your student’s schedule (if you are not able to print it at home), pay registration fees, purchase locks, and have their yearbook photo taken. We strongly encourage you to register online before coming on August 8th to expedite the process. If, however, you are not able to register online prior to August 8th, computers will be available here at LGMS for you to use to complete online registration. You will not be allowed to put any items in your student’s locker or tour the building until Open House (see below).
We will be hosting an open house the evening of Thursday August 29, 2024, from 4:00-6:30pm. Students will have an opportunity to walk through their schedule, speak with their teachers, and place their supplies in their lockers. Please note: Students are required to use their lockers. Carrying backpacks during the school day will NOT be allowed. This open house is HIGHLY recommended for all students. If students cannot attend the Open House they can bring their items the first day of school as the LGMS Office will be closed on Friday, August 30, 2024. Agendas will be handed out the first day of school. Students will not be allowed to come into the school prior to August 29th.
Another date to keep in mind–we will have an LGMS WEB Orientation Day on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. The WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) program is designed to both welcome and support sixth graders. Your student will be assigned an 8th grade WEB Leader as a mentor during this first year. Your student can expect to receive an invitation to the LGMS WEB Orientation Day in the mail. If you do not receive one by August 15, 2024, please contact the LGMS office. We look forward to meeting your student on Orientation Day.
The LGMS office will be open throughout most of the summer from 7:30am to 12:30pm Monday through Thursday and Fridays from 7:30am-12:00pm, but there will be days when it will be closed. It is suggested you always call first to make sure someone will be here.

¡Bienvenidos a la escuela secundaria Lake Geneva (LGMS)! Estamos ocupados preparándonos para el año escolar 2023-2024 y queríamos asegurarnos de que estuviera al tanto de las actividades que se llevarán a cabo durante el verano que ayudarán a su estudiante a tener una transición positiva a la escuela intermedia.
Mientras nos preparamos para el año escolar 2023-2024, tenga en cuenta que las Escuelas de Lake Geneva continuarán con la inscripción en línea. El registro electrónico estará en línea a partir del 1 de agosto. Utilice las pautas adjuntas para crear una cuenta de padres de PowerSchool o actualizar información en PowerSchool. Complete antes de asistir al registro en persona.
LGMS organizará un día de registro el miércoles 10 de agosto de 10:00 a. m. a 6:00 p. m. Ese día, los padres y los estudiantes pueden pasar por la cafetería de LGMS para recoger el horario de su estudiante (si no puede imprimirlo en casa), pagar las tarifas de inscripción, comprar candados y tomarse una foto en el anuario. Le recomendamos encarecidamente que se registre en línea antes de venir el 10 de agosto para acelerar el proceso. Sin embargo, si no puede registrarse en línea antes del 10 de agosto, habrá computadoras disponibles aquí en LGMS para que las use para completar el registro en línea. No se le permitirá poner ningún artículo en el casillero de su estudiante ni recorrer el edificio hasta la jornada de puertas abiertas (ver más abajo).
Organizaremos una jornada de puertas abiertas la noche del jueves 29 de agosto de 2024, de 4:00 a 6:30 p. m. Los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de revisar su horario, hablar con sus maestros y colocar sus útiles en sus casilleros. Tenga en cuenta: los estudiantes deben usar sus casilleros. NO se permitirá llevar mochilas durante la jornada escolar. Esta jornada de puertas abiertas es ALTAMENTE recomendada para todos los estudiantes. Si los estudiantes no pueden asistir a la jornada de puertas abiertas, pueden traer sus artículos el primer día de clases. La oficina de LGMS estará cerrada el viernes 30 de agosto de 2024. Las agendas se entregarán el primer día de clases. No se permitirá a los estudiantes ingresar a la escuela antes del 29 de agosto.
Otra fecha a tener en cuenta: tendremos un día de orientación WEB de LGMS el jueves 22 de agosto de 2024 de 8:00 a. m. a 12:00 p. m. El programa WEB (Donde todos pertenecen) está diseñado para dar la bienvenida y apoyar a los estudiantes de sexto grado. A su estudiante se le asignará un líder WEB de octavo grado como mentor durante este primer año. Su estudiante puede esperar recibir por correo una invitación al Día de Orientación WEB de LGMS. Si no recibe uno antes del 15 de agosto de 2024, comuníquese con la oficina de LGMS. Esperamos conocer a su estudiante el día de orientación.
La oficina de LGMS estará abierta durante la mayor parte del verano de 7:30 am a 12:30 pm de lunes a jueves y los viernes de 7:30 am a 12:00 pm, pero habrá días en que estará cerrada. Se sugiere que siempre llame primero para asegurarse de que habrá alguien aquí.
